Project Overview

Design Approach
First Place Award & MillerKnoll Special Industry Award in Senior Showcase 2026
Regenesis is a research-driven interior architecture project that redefines the relationship between waste, materiality, and the built environment. Centered around mycelium-based innovation and regenerative design, the project explores how food waste and palm residues can be transformed into bio-based composites, interior applications, and immersive spatial experiences through sustainable fabrication processes.
Designed as a living ecosystem of laboratories, exhibition spaces, and collaborative studios, Regenesis invites architects, scientists, designers, and the public to engage directly with the transformation of waste into material value. Blending scientific experimentation with experiential storytelling, the project challenges conventional perceptions of sustainability—positioning architecture not only as a space for habitation, but as an evolving system of growth, innovation, and environmental resilience.
